The RJ Women's Running Team is a relatively new team created to provide an organization where women of all ages and competitive levels can find organized support for their running. Our objectives are:

1. To provide a team environment which will offer encouragement and support to each member of the team for her individual running goals so that each member can run and race at the outer limits of her ability.

2. To compete as a team in selected road races, cross country events, track meets, relays or other activities.

3. To make coaching available, to any woman who wants it at no cost.

4. To support women's running by creating new programs that will encourage women to start or stay with a healthy running lifestyle.

5. To become one of the best women's running teams in the U.S.A.

6. To support our title sponsor, Running Journal's objective of promoting running in the Southeastern United States.



We SINCERELY want to be a source of information, support and energy for all women who are interested in running and in improving their fitness level. Fortunately the information age allows effective communication via e-mail and the Internet so that it is now possible to form a team with a wide geographic dispersion and still experience the coaching, support, and camaraderie that a team can provide.

We are associated with Running Journal, because we share many of the same values and objectives. We support Running Journal in attempting to promote an interest in running and fitness. We expect our team members to help us with this goal.
