Welcome To the Home page for the New Running Journal Women's Running Team
Our team is dedicated to promoting running and fitness for women. We are sponsored by the which is the largest running publication in the Southeast with over 50,000 readers. Our membership includes women of all ages and a wide range of competitive abilities. We plan to have members from all over the Southeastern part of the United States*, the area served by Running Journal. We use the power of the internet to facilitate communication, coaching, support, and motivation. Membership is open to ALL women.
I've tried to fill this website with all of the information that a prospective member would want to know and a bunch of other information useful to our present members and other women runners. Feel free to "browse around". Among other things you'll find links to several websites that are useful and interesting for women runners and you'll find contact information to make it easy to reach me.
If I missed anything, if you have a recommended addition for our site, or if you have a question please contact me.
If after reviewing the information you would like to join our team simply go to the Membership Application Page. There you will find everything that you need to do to become a member. Whether you decide to join us or not, I look forward to hearing from you. I'd love to hear your reaction to the team and the web site. I'd especially love to hear any ideas you might have to enhance the value of the team.
Happy Running,
Carolyn Mather
Coach & Coordinator
*There is no real geographic limit on our members. The Southeast is served by the Running Journal, but we have had one member continue her affiliation while living in San Francisco, she felt it helped her maintain her ties to the region....and sure enough....SHE'S BACK!
